Apple is said to release both the iPad Mini 2 and iPad 5 in July, but there is still speculation about whether or not they will include iOS 7. There have been reports that both tablets will be ready for the masses in July but Apple has said that iOS 7 won’t be ready before fall. Even though some experts say that it may be ready earlier as scheduled, in August, but that will be after the two iPads have been released.
In the past, new iPhones have always come out together with new iOS versions but that has never been the case with iPads. It has been mostly because iPads were sold 6 months before the new iOS was ready, but that’s not what’s going on now.
Now the release date of iPad Mini 2 and iPad 5 have been pushed to the second half of 2013 as it would seem pointless to release them a month before iOS 7. People could install it later, but it is still weird to have to update your month old iPad.
At the same time some say that since people want to wait for the new iOS update, they might put their purchases off and at the end, not buy themselves a new iPad after all. That can’t be good for Apple, but as they are known to create huge product launches, maybe they still have a trick up their sleeve. However, it is still speculated that Apple will try and delay the release of their tablets to have iOS 7 on them when releasing them.
Some American resellers like MacMall and Best Buy have said that they already have the new tablets in stock, which will cause even more confusion about whether or not we should expect these two tablets in July or wait for another month or two.
